Urgent – IFA denies withdrawing Khaliji 22 from Basra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Football Association denied the news regarding the withdrawal of Khaliji 22nd from Basra and grant it to Riyadh or Dammam in Saudi Arabia.The Secretary of the Iraqi Football Association, Ahmed Tariq, reported to IraqiNews.com ”The Iraqi FA only adopts formal letters and the football association did not receive any letter that confirms the media leaks which talked about the withdrawal of holding Khaliji 22 championship from Basra province.””An Iraqi delegation chaired by Tariq along with several engineers of the Ministry of Youth and Sport is currently in Dubai to answer the inquiries of the Khaliji Engineering delegation which had visited Basra province previosly.” He added.Some media outlets reported on Tuesday that the Youth Ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council demanded not to hold the of Khaliji 22 championship in Basra province and hold it in Saudi Arabia. \END\
