Gulf Cup 22: KSA, Qatar qualify for next stage

Follow -Up (IraqiNews.com) The Saudi Football team qualified to the quarter final stage of the Gulf Cup 22 after beating the Yemeni counterpart (1-0) on the third round of the first stage for the first group in the championship held on Wednesday evening.

Saudi player Nawaf al-Abid scored the goal from a long distance shoot at 28th minute of the match to raise the points of his team into seven points at the top of the group while the Yemeni team has departed the championship after undergoing the first defeat in the championship that froze its points into only two.

On the other hand, a (0-0) draw in front of Bahraini counterpart helped the Qatari team to qualify to the next stage with three points in the second match held on Wednesday evening in the first group of the championship.

Both teams of the KSA and Qatar are waiting qualification of two teams from the second group which comprises Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and UAE which will play tomorrow evening their final matches at the groups stage. /End/
