Iraq to face Iran on knock out round of Asian Cup

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi football team defeated its Palestinian counterpart 2-0 at the final round of the groups stage of the Asian Cup 2015 held in Australia.

With six points Iraq qualified along with Japan which gained nine points from the fourth group into the knock out stage.

Iraq will face the Iranian counterpart which topped the third group.

Iraq and the UAE are the only representatives for the Arabs who remained in the Asian Cup after eliminating teams of KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar.

Iraq will play versus Iran next Friday in a historical classico between the two teams. /End/
