Iraq tops Group C after beating Afghanistan 3/0

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s U-19 soccer team scored a 3-0 victory over Afghanistan for their third straight victory while the Saudis joined them on nine points by beating Kuwait 1-0 on Tuesday. Iraq and Saudi Arabia continued to set the pace in Group C with important victories in their bid to qualify for the AFC U-19 Championship 2010 finals. Iraq lead the standings on goal difference after Ahmad Fadhil (25), Ali Zuwaid (36) and Mohaimen Mallakh (77) struck for the home side. The Saudis could thank Yahya Majrashi’s 36th-minute strike for their victory against Kuwait, who are third on four points, ahead of Oman on goal difference.
