Iraq wastes victory over Oman
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The football match between Iraq and Oman played on the Arabi Club Stadium in the Qatari Capital, Doha, within the Asian Qualifiers for the World Cup in Brazil 2014 ended with (1-1) draw.
The Omani team scored first at the seventh minute of the first half, but the Iraqi team returned to the match when the Captain of the team, Younis Mahmoud scored through a penalty kick at the 36th minute of the first half.
The second half witnessed wasting many exchanged chances for both teams; the most significant chance was wasted by Iraqi forward Younis Mahmoud played the ball wide at the last minutes of the match.
The Iraqi team occupies the second place in the group behind Japan with two points from two draws with Jordan and Oman.
