Zidane Iqbal becomes the second Iraqi player to perform in the Champions League

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Zidane Iqbal subbed in from the bench for Manchester United’s Champions League match against Young Boys, making Iqbal the second Iraqi origin footballer to perform in the UCL after Hawar Mohammad Mulla and the first South Asian footballer in Manchester United’s history.
The English-born Midfielder was part of Iraq’s U23s in September and was later selected as captain on October 8th, scoring a crucial goal against Lebanon.
The young star joined Manchester United’s academy at the age of nine and has performed exceptionally well ever since.
Born in Manchester, Iqbal is half Iraqi and half Pakistani.
