10 new confirmed H1N1 cases in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Medical tests proved that there are 10 new cases of infection with the H1N1 virus, commonly called swine flu, in Wassit. The province’s health director said that in addition to those 10 patients, his staff suspects six other cases of infection with this disease. “So far, there have been 68 confirmed cases of H1N1 virus infection in Wassit,” Dr. Mahir Ghanem told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the cases are now getting treatment in the province’s hospitals. Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR  1
