13,000 tons of garbage removed from Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Karbala municipality removed 13 thousand tons of garbage that was left by pilgrims, who came to the city for the Shiite religious occasion of Arbaeen which occurred on Monday (Feb. 16), the municipality’s director said on Tuesday. “With exceptional efforts, the municipality has been working 24 hours a day to keep the city clean,” Engineer Ahmed Jabbar Rahi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The process has been underway despite the municipality’s limited capabilities,” he said.
