18 thousand unemployed in Talafar Qadha

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: More than 18 thousand people are unemployed in Talafar Qadha‘, local authorities disclosed  here today.  Dr. Abdul Al Abbas told IraqiNews.com that this figure was officially registered during a census conducted in the town, “which is a large figure in relation to the population figure, which totals 220 thousand.”  “We are trying, with the assistance of Ninewa‘s local government, to help them work and activate the social security law for those who do not receive a government payment”, he added.  Talafar belongs to Northern Ninewa province.  RM (TS)/SR 357
