3 suspected swine flu cases in Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: A local health official in Diwaniya on Sunday revealed that there are three suspected pandemic flu cases in the province, noting six other cases had fully recovered last week. “The Diwaniya Health Department is keeping three suspected pandemic flu cases isolated inside the Public Hospital in the province. We are waiting for the results of the examinations that were sent to Baghdad,” the department director, Ahmed al-Bederi, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “During the past weeks, six cases were spotted in Diwaniya but they all recovered,” he added. He noted that the Diwaniya Health Department has offered a number of courses for teachers to raise their awareness about the proper ways to prevent the disease.
