34 women attempt suicide in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Thirty-four suicide attempts by women by taking toxic substances over family problems were registered in Karbala during the past couple of months, a local official in the province said on Monday.“A hospital in the city registered 34 poisoning cases recently as thirty-four women, most of them married, resort to this deadly solution to escape their family problems,” said the official in statements to IraqiNews.com news agency.“The suicide-seeking women in Karbala are usually taking several pills or medicine and some of them use rodenticides,” he added.AmR (PT)1574
