9 family members killed in road accident in Duhuk

DUHUK / IraqiNews.com: Nine members in one  family have been killed in a road accident on the main road connecting the northern Iraqi Kurdistan city of Duhuk with the city of Mosul, a police officer told IraqiNews.com on Wednesday. “An accident took place in the Kani-Shirin area of Faida village, 25 km to the south of Dohuk, when a large truck collided with a small car, killing a family of 9, including a grandfather, two parents and six sons and daughers of different ages,” the police director in the area, Colonel Zirak Nabi said. He said the victims were moved to the medical justice office in Duhuk, whilst the truck driver was arrested, pending an investigation. SKH/SR 338
