Al-Jomhouriya bridge reopened after week of closure

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The al-Jomhouriya bridge in Baghdad was opened on Thursday after week of closure for maintenance. “The closure of the bridge, which links al-Tahrir square with al-Karkha district, caused traffic jam,” IraqiNews.com news agency correspondent said. The Baghdad Operations Command had announced that the bridge will remain closed for five days for maintenance purposes.   SH (TP)/SR   551
