Baghdad, Arbil agree on unified classification for contractors

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The planning ministries in both the federal government and local Kurdistan government implemented a unified mechanism to classify companies and contractors throughout Iraq.  The Director General of Kurdistan Ministry of Planning, Ayoub Galali, said in a joint press conference with the Federal Ministry of Planning that talks were held over the last two days to form a joint committee to lay down mechanisms of information exchange and mutual cooperation with other parts of Iraq and vice-versa.  On the other side, Director of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Planning Sa’diyah Mohammed said that this move is to facilitate the work of Kurdistan contractors and companies in all parts of Iraq.  “All Iraqi companies and contractors will be able to participate in the present bids in the three Kurdish provinces,” she noted.  RM (TS)/SR 658
