Baghdad-London airline opens Nov. 10
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The transport ministry set November 10 as a date to launch the Baghdad–London airline, according to the ministry’s aviation affairs chief on Sunday. “The new air route inauguration was postponed from November 3 to November 10 pending the completion of some approvals and documents in London,” Nasser Hussein Badr told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Al-Nasser airlines company will be carrying passengers between Baghdad and London after the Iraqi Airways failed to undertake the task due to issues pertaining to debts due for Kuwait,” he added. Badr noted that the ministry has also signed contracts with some Scandinavian countries like Denmark and Sweden as well as Germany to resume flights to Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
