Baghdad Lord-Mayor’s office signs contracts to build 2 trade moles
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Baghdad Lord-Mayor’s office has signed contracts with specialized companies to build two trade moles in the Iraqi capital for US$54 millions, it has reported in a statement on Tuesday. “The Baghdad Lord-Mayor’s office has signed a contract with Dar al-Sabah Company to build a mole in west Baghdad ’s Harithiya district, for US$42 millions,” the statement said. It added that the Mayor’s office had signed another contract with the International Amwaj Company to build another mole in east Baghdad ’s Palestine Street , for US$12 millions. “The said moles shall comprise several trade shops, marketing centers, restaurants, welfare and play grounds, as well as gardens and car parks, that would be financed by private businessmen,” the statement concluded.
