Baghdad to host first int’l floral gala in spring

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Baghdad Mayoralty on Sunday said it plans to organize the first international floral festival in spring as several Arab, regional and international companies will take part. “Baghdad Mayor Sabir al-Issawi has given instructions to the commission in charge to do its best to give a top-notch festivity giving the old city of Baghdad a new decent look,” according to a release by the mayoralty as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Abdulhussein al-Murshidi, the commission chairman, said a gate that represents one of the old historical gates of Baghdad will be the entry for the festival site. AmR (P)/SR 1
