Baghdad’s Lord-Mayor’s Office prepares special service plan for next Arab Summit
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com – The office of Baghdad’s Lord-Mayor has prepared a special services plan to be carried out in the Iraqi capital during the next Arab Summit Conference, scheduled to take place here in March of next year, according to a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday. “The plan covers the improvement of the main and branch streets, as well as places of lodging. In addition, it aims to put an end to any violations, along with improving the front parts of the buildings in five main streets. This is meant to give the Iraqi capital a beautiful image during the next Arab Summit Conference,” the statement, issued by the Acting Lord-Mayor for municipal affairs, said. The Council of Ministers recently decided to form a ministerial committee, to present necessary measures to prepare for the Arab Summit, scheduled to take place in Baghdad in March, 2011. The Committee, to be headed by Iraq’s Foreign Minister, Hoshiar Zibari and membership of the prime minister’s office, will also include the ministries of interior, development, culture & tourism, transportation and representatives of the Iraqi Presidency, Baghdad’s Province and Lord-Mayor’s office.
