Basra-Qaim cargo train back on rails
BASRA / IraqiNews.com: After seven years of interruption, the Basra-Qaim cargo train was put back on rails on Monday, said a media source from the Iraqi Railways Company. “The train has been re-launched today from the Basra province to Anbar,” Kadhum al-Sikeeni told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the train consisted of 18 carriages, loaded with around 90 tons of fertilizers. The oil-rich city of Basra lies 590 km south of Baghdad. MH (P) /SS 1
