Call to put Swiss company to court, MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com : White Bloc MP Aziz Shareef al-Mayahi called ministry of planning to put the Swiss SGS company to court for not abiding by the contract signed with it to check Iraqi imported goods and commodities. In a statement by his bloc, copy received by IraqiNews.com, he demanded that the company to be put to justice, because “it made damages to the consumers for getting some amounts from the merchants to pass their commodities and goods”. He demanded material compensations from the company “to prevent any foreign company from doing so in future”. Mayahi warned that “the Ministry of Planning shall be followed up on this question”. Ministry of Planning terminated the SGS Company and announced it is planning to have contracts with 6 specialized international companies in this field.
