Cartoon – Photo Exhibition opened in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An exhibition for photographs and cartoon pictures was opened in Mosul on Monday by the Ninewa Branch of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.   “The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate – Ninewa Branch – has opened a joint exhibition for Colleagues, Mahir al-Obeidy for cartoon pictures and Bashar Adnan for photographs,” the Chairman of the Syndicate’s Ninewa Branch, Fawzi al-Qassim told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that the cartoon pictures comprise 130 paintings, in which Mahir al-Obeidy had expressed different positions and stations in our daily lives, whilst Photographer Bashar Adnan had exhibited 65 photographs, representing the daily lives of the Iraqis, along with breathtaking natural views of Ninewa Province .   Qassim said that “the cartoon art is considered one of the important expression means, because it reflects the consciousness of the society.”   “Both Colleagues have tried, through their exhibition to express their rejection of the American occupation and the destruction it had caused in the country,” he added.   Mosul , the center of Ninewa Province , is 405 km to the north of Baghdad .   SKH (IT)
