Civil Aviation stops in Arbil Airport, continues in Baghdad Airport.
ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The civil aviation movement has stopped in the Arbil International Airport on Wednesday, due to the dust storm that hit Arbil, but the aviation movement continued in Baghdad International Airport , the Assistant Director of Arbil International Airport said. “The dust storm that hit Arbil since yesterday (Tuesday) had caused a complete halt of aviation movement in Arbil International Airport this morning (Wednesday), but it is hopeful that they would be gradually restored this afternoon,” Salar Dosky told IraqiNews.com news agency. In Baghdad , the Iraqi Airways had announced the continuation of civil aviation to and from Baghdad International Airport , without any halt, despite sand storms that hit the Iraqi capital. “The aviation movement in Baghdad International Airport did not stop despite the continuation of the sand storms, as we have received an air trip from Dubai at 07:30 am Wednesday morning, whilst two trips were received at 10:00 am from Beirut and Amman,” the Iraqi Airways Media Spokesman, Salah Tayih said. He said that an aviation trip took place from Baghdad at 10:30 am on Wednesday to Amman and Beirut , whilst another trip will take place from Baghdad to Arbil at 12:00 noon. The Iraqi cities of Baghdad , Karbala , Kirkuk , Mosul and Arbil had witnessed dust storms that caused heavy breathing problems, despite rainfalls in Arbil on Tuesday night that failed to ease out the dust storm.
