Demo in west Iraq’s Falluja city, demanding resignation of Anbar Council’s Chairman.
ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A large demonstration took to the streets of Falluja, the largest city in west Iraq’s Anbar Province on Saturday, demanding the resignation of the Province’s Council Chairman and what the described as corrupt elements in the State. “The citizens of Falluja, including the tribal leaders and outstanding personalities, unemployed young people and others have organized a large demonstration, demanding the resignation of Anbar Province’s Council Chairman and the Local Council of Falluja city,” Sheikh Hazim al-Mohammady, one of the organizers of the demonstration told IraqiNews.com news agency. Mohammady pointed out that the demonstrators “have demand the resignation of the said personalities, due to their failure to achieve public services and to stop aggressive attacks by the American forces on citizens in different parts of the city,” adding that the demonstrators have also demanded “an end for the Iranian interference in Iraq’s affairs.” Ramadi, the center of Anbar Province , is 160 kms to the west of Baghdad .
