Deputy PM Sharistani scores “Prize of Freedom from Fear”

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Institute in the Hague has chosen Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr Hussein al-Shahristani, to score the “Prize of Freedom from Fear,” according to a statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday. “The Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Institute in the City of Hague has chosen Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein al-Shahristrani, to score the “Prize of Freedom From Fear,” granted to a number of leading international personalities that present a lot for freedom and democratic values,” the Ministry’s website reported. The website stressed that “the said prize was granted in the past for several international personalities, including former UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan and the Chinese Leader, Dalai Lama, indicating that “the ceremony will be held in the Dutch city of  Middelburg on May 12th next, in the presence of Queen Beatrix.” SKH (TP)/SR899
