Financial Grants for journalists, writers, artists, to be paid end of week:

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi government’s financial grants for journalists, writers and artists, will be paid for them at the end of this week (Thursday), The Culture Ministry’s Undersecretary, Taher al-Hmoud, told IraqiNews.com news agency on Saturday. “Our Ministry is checking the names of those covered with the awards in detail now, and the end of the week shall witness the distribution of the special financial awards for writers, artists and journalists, at the end of this week,” Mmoud said. He said any of the said persons may get his payment from any branch of Rafidain Bank in Baghdad and other provinces, or by any exchange bureau. Noteworthy is that a special committee, led by Undersecretary Hmoud and membership of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, the Writers Union, as well as the Popular Poets and Photographers Union, and the Artists Union, had issued a detailed list for their members, who would get the said award, as well as a monthly encouragement payment.
