Fire erupts in hospital in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: Health authorities in Thi-Qar on Tuesday evacuated the cardiac center in al-Hussein public hospital as a fire erupted in a carpet store. “A fire broke out this afternoon in a carpet store in the second floor of the six-floor hospital,” a source, who asked to remain anonymous, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The cardiac center lies at the same floor and the fire caused some material damage,” he added, noting that the whole floor has been evacuated. “The fire caused by electrical short circuit,” he said.
