Ninewa / IraqiNews.com: The city of Mosul, the center of northern Iraq’s Ninewa Province, had witnessed at dawn today (Sunday) the first birth in 2012, for a child who was the 12th child in the same family, a Mosul doctor announced.”The new child was born in the first minutes after 12:00 midnight Saturday and with the entrance into the new year, 2012,” Chief Doctor in Mosul‘s al-Khansaa Hospital, Dr.Ahmed al-Bijou’a told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that the “newly-born child is a male from the citizens of Wana township, 40 km to the north of Mosul.” Dr.Ahmed said that “the occasion that took place was that the newly-born child in 2012 carries No.12 in his family, in addition to the fact that the New Year had witnessed 12 Caesarean births , among 52 births witnessed by the hospital that night.” Mosul, the center of Ninewa Province, is 405 km to the north of Baghdad. 1129
