Food aid for 1,139 displaced families in Talafar

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The Displacement and Migration Department in Talafar has distributed food aid to 1,139 displaced families in the district, the department’s head said on Wednesday. “Thousands of people left the district between 2004 and 2005 following the deterioration of the security situation, but most of them have returned,” Muhsin Faraj told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The ministry had provided financial aid to nearly 2,800 displaced families in Talafar (60 km northwest of Mosul),” Faraj noted.
