Foundation stone laid for 5,000 housing units in Baghdad.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The foundation stone has been laid for the building of 5,000 housing units in west Baghdad by the Chairman of the Baghdad Investment Commission on Saturday.   “The new project, foundation stone for which was laid today (Saturday), named as the 1 st City of Dreams, shall comprise 5,000 housing units, along with 200 villas, with al their service buildings, is the second project of its type after the Baghdad Daura Compound, comprising 960 housing units,” Shakir al-Zamily told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Zamily also said that the works of the project began with the checking of the soil and its adjustment in the working site, situated in north Baghdad ’s Al-Zeitun Street area in Abu-Ghuraib district, is planned to be completed within 3-4 years.   SKH (ST) 436
