Future of Iraqi children “endangered”, MP
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliamentary Human Rights Commission’s chairman warned that the future of Iraqi children is “threatened” if their situation is not “dealt with” to counter the dangers facing them, such as illiteracy and orphan status. MP Saleem al-Jbouri called for, on the International Child Day, using all possible means to “save Iraqi childhood”. “The commission looks with concern to the number and status of the orphans, which need continued efforts to endorse suitable laws for their education and family care”, he added.
