Gas pipeline exploded in Beiji Refinery

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: The gas transportation pipe in the Beiji Refinery exploded today, resulting in a huge fire and material losses, North Refineries Company sources said.   The causes for the explosion are not yet known.   The source added to IraqiNews.com that the gas transportation pipeline from Kirkuk wells to the Beiji Refinery exploded early this morning. The explosion left serious damage to the industrial complex.   “Fire squads are trying to control the fire, while many helicopters are roaming the skies.   Beiji lies 40 km outside of Tikrit, the center of Salah al-Din province, 175 km north of the capital, Baghdad.   RM (TS)/SR 612
