H1N1 closes 6 schools in western Baghdad
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Six schools at the western (Karkh) side of Baghdad have been closed for one week for confirmed swine (H1N1) flu infections among students, a source from the Iraqi Health Ministry said Wednesday. “There has been no reference so far about H1N1 infection among students at the eastern (Rasafa) said of the capital,” Dr. Ihsan Jaafar told IraqiNews.com news agency. The source did not mention the number of swine flu cases at the Karkh part of Baghdad. “The ministry has signed contracts with big firms to purchase H1N1 vaccine,” he said. Dr. Jaafar said that the ministry will close and sterilize every school where swine flu cases are detected. MH (P)/SH 1
