Health ministry says cholera cases up to 444

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The number of confirmed cholera cases in Iraq has reached 444 thus far, the Iraqi health ministry said on Friday. “The number of positive cases rose to 444 after registering five new cases in Basra in the past two days,” an official spokesperson for the ministry’s operations room, Ihsan Jaafar, told IraqiNews.com. The number of dead remains six because of the medical treatment offered by the ministry for those infected, the spokesperson noted, adding that no single case was reported in Iraq ’s Kurdistan region.
