Health Ministry to build 11 hospitals in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Health has announced on Tuesday the beginning of building 11 hospitals by a group of foreign companies in different parts of Iraq .   “The hospitals shall be built in a number of Iraqi provinces, including a 300-bed children hospital in Karbala Province, three 400-bed Teaching Hospitals in Kirkuk, Wassit and Muthanna Provinces,” the Health Ministry’s Engineering Planning Section’s Chief, Hussan Alwan told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He added that 3 other hospitals with 200-beds would be built in west Iraq ’s Qaim, Haditha and Hit townships, along with four 100-bed hospitals in Salahaddin’s Samarra , Daur, Dujeil and Tuz-Khurmatu towns.   He stressed that all the said hospitals would be built by foreign companies, specialized in construction of hospitals, according to modern specifications, in the aim of presenting best services for Iraqi citizens.   SKH (ST)
