Heavy rains destroy 21 houses, 250 power towers in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Heavy rain and storms that hit Karbala last night destroyed 21 houses and 250 power towers. “Strong winds and heavy rains hit Karbala yesterday, causing the destruction of houses and power towers in the province,” Governor Amal al-Din al-Herr told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Iraqi Red Crescent rescued the damaged families and housed them in tents prepared for them,” he added.
