Infant mortality decreases by 30% in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: The application of “Health Visitor Program” led to a decrease of 30 percent in infant mortality for children under 5 years, the Directory of Technology and Information disclosed.  Khalaf Mohammed Al-Ka’bi told IraqiNews.com that “the real motive for this program is the information confirmed by Iraqi Health Ministry reports of 2005 that the death ratio of children in Missan was the highest among other provinces.”   “The year 2010 witnessed a lower percentage in infant mortality, as well as children clinical attendance from 110 percent to 87 percent,” he added.   RM (TP)/SR 538
