International support for Iraqi dentists limited – Dr. Jubouri
KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: The head of Iraqi Dentists said today that the events that have occurred in Iraq have isolated the dentists, hoping for further international support through joint conferences. Dr. Rafi’ Mohammed al-Jubouri told IraqiNews.com, during Karbala Dentists Conference, that “the dentists and medicine career passed though great sufferings due to the international sanctions and the events following the events of 2003.” “The results of these events and circumstances made people think that dentistry is a secondary medical career,” he added. Jubouri elaborated that dentistry in Iraq needs continued practice and hand professionalism, which could be achieved through continued study and conferences. “In the near future, there will be an international conference with the participation of world universities to expand the expertise of Iraqi dentists”, he disclosed. He complained that the international support for the 11,000 Iraqi dentists is “very limited.” RM (TS)/SR 506
