Iraqi Actress nominated as Ambassador for Orphans Rights

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The famous Iraqi actress Shatha Hassoun has been nominated for the post of “Ambassador for Orphans Rights,” due to the services she has given to Iraqi children, the Founder of Iraq’s Orphans Culture & Rights Club said on Sunday. “The outstanding Iraqi artist Shatha Hassoun, now residing in Lebanon, has been nominated for the said post for the efforts she had presented and still presents for children,” Mohammed Rashid said in a statement, a copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Rashid said that the near future would witness a meeting, to be attended by an Iraqi cultural and humanitarian delegation, including the Chairman of the ‘Iraqi Child’s Parliament’, the Director of the ‘Iraqi Orphans Culture & Rights Club’ and members of the Iraqi Episode House, to lay a special program to honor Shatha Hassoun.
