Iraqi Airways begins its 1st flight on Baghdad-Doha line
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Airways has sent its first aircraft early on Tuesday, to mark the opening of its Baghdad-Doha-Muscat line for the same day, the director of Flight Affairs in Iraq’s Transport Ministry, Nasser al-Shibly said. “The Ministry launched its first experimental flight to Doha, and then to Muscat, carrying a number of media men and Iraqi Airways employees,” Shibly told IraqiNews.com News Agency. He noted that Iraqi Airways plans to fly two trips daily on the announced route. Noteworthy is that the Iraqi Transport Ministry is carrying out official discussions with India, in order to launch a route between Baghdad and New Delhi soon. SKH/SR 1
