BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com – The Iraqi Parliament is planning to abolish all decisions, issued by Iraq ’s former ruling Revolution Command Council (RCC) and to issue new decisions to replace them, a Baghdad daily newspaper reported on Saturday. “The Parliament is planning to abolish all former RCC’s decisions, gradually, and to issue new decisions to replace them,” the semi-official al-Sabah newspaper quoted a Member of Parliament as saying. The newspaper also quoted the Iraqi Legislature as saying that the Parliament would also abolish 10 other RCC decisions during the forthcoming 3 months, adding that there is “a strong will to abolish all other decisions issued by the RCC next year,” saying that all those decisions “stand counter to the current Iraqi Constitution.” IT / SKH 421
