IraqiNews.com granted Medal of Excellence in commemoration of its Martyr Nizar al-Rady

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: The independent IraqiNews.com news agency has won the “Medal of Excellence” during the 4th commemoration ceremony of its Martyr, Nizar al-Rady, that took place on Saturday at the Cultural Center of southern Iraq ’s city of Amara , for its role in supporting the independent media, according to the Organizer of the occasion.   “IraqiNews.com news agency was granted the ‘Medal of Excellence’ during the 4 th commemoration celebration, that took place in Amara’s Cultural Center, for the Martyr of the Iraqi Press, Nizar al-Radi,” Abdul-Ali Abdul-Wahid told IraqiNews.com, saying that “the medal was granted to the Agency due to its active role in the Iraqi media.”   The commemoration celebration on the 4 th anniversary of the martyrdom of IraqiNews.com’s Reporter, Nizar al-Radi, that took place in the Cultural Center in Amara city, the center of Missan Province, was attended by more than 200 cultural, political and media personalities.   Nizar al-Radi, born in Missan Province in 1969, had been father of 4 and had been one of the first journalists, who joined IraqiNews.com news agency, under extremely difficult security circumstances those days.   Radi was the first journalist, among three reporters the Agency had lost in 3 weeks in the year 2007, as after his assassination on May 30, 2007, he was followed by the martyrdom of the Agency’s correspondent in Ninewa Province, Sahar al-Haidary, on 7/6/2007, and then the martyrdom of its correspondent in Diala Province, Arif Ali, on June 12, 2007.   SKH (RT)   504
