Iraq’s Diala Province receives 19,300 displaced families, who returned home
DIALA / IraqiNews.com: More than 19,300 displaced families have returned back to their homes in northeast Iraq ’s Diala Provice, the Director of the National Center for the Displaced Families, registered since 2008, said on Thursday. “The stability of the security situation in Diala Province has shared in the return of the majority of displaced families in the Province, as the last figures registered by the Center had reached 19,300 families till May 2th,” Thari al-Ta’e told IraqiNews.com news agency. Diala Province ranks the second Iraqi province after the capital of Baghdad , in the number of immigrants and displaced families, due to the years of sectarian violence – 2006-2008 -, that exceeded 33,000 families.
