Kurdistan news agency opened in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nejervan Barazani on Friday inaugurated the Kurdistan news agency, according a statement by the region’s government. “The ceremonies were attended by a host of political and administrative officials as well as journalists and mass media representatives,” read the statement as received by IraqiNews.com. It quoted Barazani as hoping that the agency would “mark a significant start to publish news about the region abroad and carry world reports to the Kurdistan region”. Arbil, the capital city of the Kurdistan region, lies 346 km northeast of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
