Kurdistan’s government allocates $6 million to address Swine Flu
ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The government of Iraq’s Kurdistan region has allocated $6 million (ID 7 billion) to face the H1N1 virus, known as Swine flu, the region’s Kurdistan region said. “The federal government helped the region in carrying out checkups and to test suspected cases,” Dr. Zeryan Othman told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Kurdistan’s cabinet expressed readiness to provide the Health Ministry with extra amounts to face the disease,” he added, noting that the amounts will be dedicated to but medicines and the TAMIFLU and the sterilization equipments as well as the thermal cameras to detect those infected with the virus.
