Majority of secondary school graduates to be accepted in Kurdistan Universities
ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research of northern Iraq’s Kurdistan Region has announced on Saturday that his Ministry would accept the majority of students, graduated from secondary schools, in the Region’s government and private universities in the next academic year, despite the large number of graduates in Kurdistan. “Despite fact that the past few years had shown that any government couldn’t accept all graduates of secondary schools in its collages and institutes, but 85,000 male and female students have graduated during the current academic year, majority of whom would be accepted in Kurdistan’s government and private universities,” Minister Dilawar Alaaddin said. The Ministry of Education in Kurdistan Region had announced last Thursday the results of the 1st session for the secondary schools. Kurdistan’s Education Minister, Safin Diza’e told a news conference on Thursday that “the success results of the 1st session for the secondary schools’ final stage, had covered 81,256 male and female students,” adding that the 2nd session for the students would be organized at the end of August next.” SKH (TI)/SR 556
