Mayoralty of Baghdad allocates plot to establish Armenian Church

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Mayoralty of Baghdad decided to allocate a plot to establish an Armenian Church in the capital, according to an official statement on Monday. “Baghdad Mayor Saber al-Issawi received on Monday Head of the Armenian Community in Iraq Archbishop Avak Asadourian, and gave instructions to choose an appropriate land to set up a church as part of the mayoralty’s support to all sects in Iraq,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
