BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Chairman of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad al-Lamy, has said on Wednesday that the Ministry of Higher Education has agreed to open a Technical Media Collage in Iraq in the next Academic Year, expressing his gratitude to the Iraqi Parliament for completing its second reading of the Iraqi Journalists Protection Law. Lamy’s points were announced in his speech in a celebration on the 142nd Anniversary of Iraqi Journalism, attended by the Official Spokesman of the Iraqi government, Ali al-Dabbagh and the Spokesman for the Baghdad Operations, Qassem Ata. “The Ministry of Higher Education has agreed to open the Technical Media Collage in the next Academic Year, to become a venue for the improvement of the technical potentials of the Iraqi journalists, along with its intention to develop the Media College to become a school for Iraqi journalists,” Lamy said in his speech.
