No schools in part of Wassit for swine flu
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Wassit Provincial Council has decided to give students who live in al-Hay a one-week vacation for confirmed H1N1 (swine) flu cases in one of the suburbs. “The vacation can be renewed,” Sundoss al-Thahabi, head of the Council’s media committee, told IraqiNews.com news agency. She said this precautionary measure comes to limit swine flu infection among students who live in al-Hay suburb (40 km south of Kut city), which has recently witnessed 21 confirmed cases of the H1N1 disease. Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
