Northeast Iraq’s Miqdadiya Police ends prisoners strike by response to their demands.

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: The Directorate of northeast Iraq ’s Miqdadadiya Police has succeeded to convince prisoners to end a hunger strike, by responding to their demands, including better food to be served for them, a Diala Police source said on Sunday.   “70 prisoners of Miqdadiya Police Directorate’s prison, 45 km to the northeast of Baaquba, who had announced a hunger strike on Saturday evening, in protest to the type of food served for them, have ended the strike after the response of the Police Directorate for their demands,” the police source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Baaquba, the center of Diala Province , is 57 km to the northeast of Baghdad .   SKH (PT)   .   559
