Official delegation from Thi-Qar visits Paris next week

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: A high-level delegation from southern Iraq’s Thi-Qar province is scheduled to visit Paris next week to discuss ways to further bilateral relations and set up future projects in the province, said a local official on Thursday. “A large delegation comprising officials in different domains in the province will visit Paris next week upon an invitation by the French government in order to develop relations in different spheres,” Anbar Council’s Technical Assistant Abdul-Hussein Hadi told IraqiNews.com news agency. The two sides will also discuss a twinship agreement between Thi-Qar and a French university, he said. The official added that talks would touch on a number of important strategic projects related to the province’s infrastructure, especially in the field of construction of bridges, the first on the Euphrates River and the other on the southern entrance of the province.
